But he did say that the verse was not meant to be serious, that the attempt was just kind of done. Vince claimed that he never took rapping seriously at all, so when his guest verse on "Epar" exploded around hip hop forums during the release of "Earl", from Earl Sweatshirt, we don't actually know how he reacted. It did not help that his father was a drug dealer when he wasn’t spending time in prison but you gotta lay the bills, right? Vince, like many before him was subjected to the culture of gangbanging in his native home of Long Beach. Regardless, for someone who rapped the way he did at young age, it seemed that he could very well be onto something. Vince Staples wasn't really known to the world despite having been featured on a couple of other tracks from another unknown artist previously named "Lavish", from some searches on Google, I believe he changed his rapper name. (Thank /u/bearfuckers420 for the editting!) Forgive me if the timelines seem off, I only write and if I forget where things were actually happening, I just kind of toss them in there. It'll have more than just mixtapes because Vince Staples doesn't have a lot of stuff out, so some features that stood out will come to mind. Using the other guides as examples (credit to /u/Naquanrice, /u/screaming_nugget and /u/JimmehFTW for their informative guides on Gambino, Danny Brown and Lil Wayne, respectively), I'll do my best to catalogue everything that I can. With a discography not quite as expansive as other artists, what Vince Staples does that some other artists don't is remain consistent is his verses.

With the exposure that Long Beach rapper, Vince Staples, is currently getting, it only felt right to inform everyone on my current favourite artist and what they have been missing these last few years as he attempts to rise to his claim to fame. You'll come to realize I'm a big Nujabes fan.Very slow but I really really like this one. What most of you probably know me for (if you know me at all :P).Quick note is that the artist tag on the files will vary a bit since I went through several name changes.Ĭlicking the name of the mashup will bring you to a dl link for it (I really hope dropbox doesn't shit the bed.) Click the original songs for a youtube or soundcloud link in case you're unfamiliar with them. It'll be mostly alphabetical with the exception of the first since that was my most popular mashup by far. If you want the individual ones check below.

Here is a link to a zip with every mashup listed here. I can't thank this subreddit enough though, you guys are awesome, I hope you find something to your liking in here. I might make a video talking about Soundcloud and copyrights in general. I don't know if I'll make a new soundcloud, if I do I probably won't put any mashups on it. I hope y'all like it as this community has been great to me.

Wanted to make a post here with all the mashups I've made. So I've had my soundcloud taken down as well. The 57th Grammy Awards take place on February 8, 2015. Tonight, the Album of the Year announcement will be made during the "A Very Grammy Christmas" special on CBS. Throughout the day, the rest of the nominations (except for Album of the Year) will be revaled. Four categories were revealed on "CBS This Morning" by Pharrell and Ed Sheeran. Thing is, this lazy, hazy boat trip to the hip side of R&B only goes up and down the coast, so take Aiko's short intro as more of a "pinner" than a "fat blunt," as they say.The first nominees for the 2015 Grammy Awards have been announced. All the hard work Lennon and Ono did while on their backs in the '60s gets a cheeky twist when the light-stepping "Bed Peace" offers "If I had it my way, I'd roll out of bed, say, 'bout 2:30 midday/Hit the blunt, then hit you up." before Childish Gambino joins the EP's superior guest list with Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Vince Staples all on board. That's not a negative, but a positive, as the singer seductively slinks her way through heartbreak during the intoxicating cut "The Vapors," where sweet nothings like "Can I hit it again?" could either mean the bedroom or the bong.

Having already made a big impression in 2013 with appearances on singles from Big Sean ("Beware") and Drake ("From Time"), breathy R&B vocalist Jhené Aiko fleshes out her character on Sail Out, a relaxed debut EP that suggests that this girl is on permanent vacation.
